LERUN SKATEBIKE
Lerun’s iconic Skatebike, also known as the Le Run unicycle was officially launched in Malaysia on 12 November 1988.
That day, it hit the global market in the late 1980s, as a distinctive hybrid between a bicycle and a skateboard, following an MTV licensing agreement announced on 8 Feb 1988 .
It was part of a global rollout, but Malaysia became the first country in Asia to receive it.
The launch was accompanied by vibrant branding, including the catchy slogan:

From Local Roots to National Pride
Founded in 1959, Lerun Industries Sdn. Bhd. began with a simple mission: to bring quality bicycles to Malaysians from all walks of life.
What started as a small-scale assembler has since grown into one of Malaysia’s most established bicycle manufacturers and distributors, proudly serving generations of riders.
Lerun gained nationwide recognition in the late 1980s with the release of the now-legendary Lerun Skatebike, a one-of-a-kind unicycle-skateboard hybrid that captured the imagination of youth across the country.
This iconic product not only built the Lerun name but also reflected our drive to innovate and lead.
Over the decades, we’ve expanded our reach and refined our offerings.
Today, Lerun proudly distributes a full range of bikes, from mountain and road bikes to city, BMX, folding, and kids’ models.
Through our own brand and as the exclusive partner of Polygon Bikes in Malaysia.
With headquarters in Puchong, Selangor, and an extensive distribution network including Rodalink stores and dealers nationwide, Lerun remains committed to delivering quality, performance, and values.
